Nikon D7000 Digital Camera - Page 3 Questions & Answers
How do i upload video from my nikon d7000 to my computer. Will upload photos but the video didn't
You neglected to specify how you're trying to upload your videos so I can only give general hints.First, make sure you're using a program that recognizes videos. If you're using a program designed to copy photos, that's exactly what it will do -- copy photos. Videos aren't photos, and such a program will ignore them. The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, as I suggested earlier, use a program that recognizes both photos and videos, such as
Nikon Transfer.
D7000 twain driver
Current Nikon cameras and software are not TWAIN-compatible and thus there are no drivers available. See
here.Your best bet would be to download the photos to your computer and then use them there instead of from the camera. As mentioned in the document referenced above, only Nikon Capture is TWAIN-compatible, but this program was retired years ago and is no longer officially available from Nikon but you can download a copy

How can you have the Nikon D7000 show the LCD info screen on startup?
On the D90, set Custom Setting F1 to "Both". When turning on the camera, turn the switch two notches, past the "On" position to the backlight position before releasing it. This will bring up the information screen. On the D7000, set Custom Setting F1 to "backlight and information display". Turn the camera on the same way. It's not quite as convenient as having the information display come up automatically, but you should be able to train yourself to turn the camera on by turning the switch all the way.

Macro focus
That is correct. None of Nikon's 70-300mm lenses are designed as macro lenses. They won't focus closer than about 1.5 meters or 5 feet.
