KLH KL2400 Tuner Questions & Answers
I have a klh-2400 receiver that won't turn on
Hi,
Thanks for using fixya.
The klh-2400 doesn't have an internal fuse. Your receiver has loose circuit board solder joints. What you need to do is open up your receiver and check for loose solder joins. You can easily spot these if you find little burn marks around a loose solder joint. You can also spot the bad solder joints if you notice cracks around the solder joints.
Add su bwoofer to KLH 200
the subwoofer i have, a polk, connects directly to the right and left speaker lines of the klh2400.
i then connect my stereo left and stereo right speakers to the subwoofer.
essentially, the subwoofer becomes a middle station between my speakers.
make sense?
Blown fuse

Volume out of speakers nill
I bought two of these in "non working" condidition. All it was is this: There are two plug-in's or shunt's whatever you wanna call them that come pre-installed on my units that were up/down and should have been horizontal in block marked "speaker output".
Both unit's work fine now. Came from factory that way!

Volume control
Well here goes a spelling problem for me. You need to replace a component called a podentiomiter. It is the actual volume control behind the knob. I have had to replace a few of these, and pioneer seems to to more prone to these problems.
My KLH 2400 tuner plays wonderful and then clicks off and then on....and then off....
Suzie, your reciver is going into a protection mode. There is a problem with one of your speakers, the wiring, or +with the reciver itself. If you know how to use a multimeter, then you can test the resistance of the speaker, as if one speaker was partally shorted this problem would occor. If you have another set of speakers, try them. If not then you will need to have the reciver bench checked for a fault.
