I need the universal remote code for my WF104 dvd player
It looks like there are a range of values that have been quoted online. It would appear to depend on the make of the universal remote. I have found 456 or 458 stated. If you are using a comcast remote I have seen 0675, 10180 or 10171.

The volume control and mute
Hi there,Firstly, we need to determine if the remote is working correctly:1) remove batteries from remote2) press each button on the remote twice (do this one button at a time). This will discharge any residual current stored in the remote's capacitors.3) insert fresh batteries (ensure these batteries provide good charge)If this does not reset your remote (or still does not work), then suspect your remote is faulty. Please let me know the outcome of the above test.Cheers,

I just purchased 2 dvds from Germany and my dvd
Unfortunately not all dvd players can be unlocked like that. You can try to rip the dvd to your computer and then burn it region free. Just make sure not to violate any copyright laws as that is why the region protection is there in the first place.
Thank you,
Lee

My tv remote stopped working
Try using words to form sentences next time.
Don't lose the remote; tie a scarf on it with a key-finder in it and a pesto or frosting saran pack in the battery compartment if you have to. You do.
Because now, you get to go buy a universal remote and program it, or use a universal remote program on a PalmPilot, cellphone, or IrDA-equipped PC.
Alternately, you could take advantage of any automatic input priorities the TV set has which are compatible with your game cabling.

Dual layer disc problem
Did you glance in the manual to see what types of DVD it would play (typ. DVD-9, DVD-4, etc.) and try it? This site can't prevent you reading appropriate manuals, you know.

I haven't found a way without a remote except to unplug everything except a vcr or dvd, no other channel inputs and run the channel set up function. It will only recognise the one it can read and it will only leave you with the game channel... give it a try.

My dvd won't play any movies
the ticking sound is most likely the laser hitting the disk trying to focus, my guess is the motor isnt spinning the disc or the laser is bad or weak.

When I turn on my symphonic tv I just get snow and no sound
If you are seeing snow on your Symphonic TV screen, it could indicate that the TV is not receiving a signal from your cable or antenna. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the cable or antenna connection: Ensure that the coaxial cable or antenna is securely connected to the TV and the wall or source.
- Run a channel scan: Perform a channel scan or auto-programming to ensure that the TV is tuned to the correct channels and that it is receiving a signal.
- Check the TV's settings: Make sure that the TV's input is set to the correct source, such as cable or antenna. Also, ensure that the TV's settings are not set to "mute" or "no sound."
- Try a different device: If you have another device, such as a DVD player or gaming console, try connecting it to the TV to see if it is able to display video and sound.
If none of these steps work, you may need to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.
