Perhaps the sled motor is stuck on the unit. What model number is it? Can you remove the screws on the cover and try to open it manually moving the sled mechanism? (carefully of course, with very little force). It might just need to be lubricated.

Some Koss players are locked to only one region/zone so this might not work. Try this.

1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
2. Press MENU
3. Press 1, 6, 7, 1, 9
4. A menu should pop up
5. Press OK
6. Press the button for the desired RC (0=code free)
7. Exit menu

Either there is a disk jammed inside or the player mechanism has failed.
