Going to the user's manual: https://www.ameriglide.com/cache/1475784382000/resources/product/615/productDocument/292.pdf I see that the F code indicates that there is a fault at the motor, possibly corrected by doing a "reset". Directions are in the user manual. The 7 indicates a fault at the "downside safety edge", the little micro-switch on the downhill side of the footplate. See if there is something holding that little projecting piece of plastic that triggers the micro-switch from springing back out to its normal position. Good luck!

The switch for moving up or down is on the right side arm. Is that what you are asking about? It sounds to me that you have a cable break somewhere between the armrest controls and the electronics below the seat. I am assuming this is the case as you did not mention a problem with the remote control (if this one has that). If you have a remote control, and neither the armrest or remote work, then the problem is very likely in the motor control electronics.

Replace the batteries. Easy as that. And it's not that difficult if you go about it logically and slowly so that you don't run into too much frustration. The hardest part is getting the plastic housing off and back on. There are some videos on Youtube on how to do it. You can order new batteries on Amazon for under $20. I just replaced ours and opted for the more expensive Yuasa brand batteries so I wouldn't have to do it again for a long time, but even the cheapest batteries should restore operation for at least a year or two under moderate use. The brand of battery that came in our chair was Genesis.

Replace it with a heavier duty one or stop being so heavy handed; it only needs a light tough, and it won't go any faster if you press it harder! Oh and don't pay the ridiculous prices asked by repairers. Is it spring loaded or just on/off? You cn get a replacement switch from an auction site for about a sixth of the price. Also why is it breaking off, is it hitting something on the way? If you've had it replaced previously call them back?
