Hi,

I believe that printer does not support this option since it is using toner and toner printer has different technology where it creates electromagnetic reaction to paper itself and toner when printing . What you need is an inkjet printer. You can check Epson products and consumables and Kodak too.

we need to coordinate this with konica service center, i already encountered that kind of problem and we replace ip board controller.

On the 2300 model there is a small tab that has to be pushed in when you refill it so the unit knows its been replaced. Look on the end and you will see two slots, one of which leads to a channel that the tab is in. Use a small screw driver to push the tab back towards the center of the cartridge. Don't try to do it from the top, use insert it into the end opening only or you may break the tab off.

The best way to reset the counter is to replace the fuse on the underside of the printer drum. That is not hard to do, but you have to be careful not to break the plastic tabs holding the original fuse in place.

What operating system are you running on that laptop, windows xp or vista?

Usually there is a setting in your menu to change the paper settings, if not look in the tray itself and see if there is a size on it and change it there.

I got that error turning off the machine in the middle of printing, opened the door to back, unlashed the 2 green tabs to the final heat roller towards the top and there was my page. i gently pulled it out error gone.
but in your case sounds like the paper is having a hard time feeding through all your rollers or the first one... in that case it has to torn down to the first roller and inspected for paper pieces , what ever, and I clean the rollers with laquer thinner rubbing hard on the black rubber until that high gloss is gone.

here is my thinking... toner... goes from toner container... via developer to drum... where it gets info and then to paper where it gets placed... and then to fuser where it gets cemented...

if pages are coming out blank... check if toner is full... then check if developer unit is turning... then check if there is an image on the drum... if no image on drum then the charge roller or charge wire is not working....

if you still think all is ok up to this point then check your fuser... if it is cold after your machine is on for five minutes then its blown...

hi after browsing all over for this i found a driver that should run your printer on windows 7 im not sure how well it will run but it should work until a better driver is available.

On the console of the 2300DL press the "Menu Select" button, then the right arrow untill "Engine" is dispalyed.
Then press the arrow button down, selecting Engine.
"Change Toner SZ" will appear.
Press the right arrow button, and "Replace Toner" will appear. Press the down arrow, selecting this function.
Select the color you wish to replace by using the left and right arrows. When the color appears that you wish to replace, select it by pressing the down arrow.
The toner name will be displayed and size selection is made here. If toner size needs to be changed, use the left and right arrows to adjust this setting.
Once set, press "Select" button. The printer will rotate the cartridge inside to allow access to the toner you selected for replacement.
"Open Door Replace Toner" will be displayed.
Open the door and replace the toner. When the replacement toner is inserted and seated properly, close the door.
The system will load the replacement toner. If you have other cartridges to replace use the steps above to replace each one.
I suggest after you replace cartridges to use the built in calibration utility. To calibrate, switch the unit off, let stand for a moment then switch back on. The calibration process will start automatically.

The solution for this issue has to do with the paper used. I experienced the same issue and traded out the bargain paper for quality Xerox paper. The bargain paper is just too thin and is causing the sensors inside to misread and miss-feed into the various rollers and devices inside the printer. If you can afford a color laser then I guess they figure you can afford the premium paper. The Xerox paper I'm using is 24lb found at BJ's wholesale here in the South East US, though other quality papers will work as well.

The sound is coming from the new toner cartridges. The roller is sticking and causing the gears to make that noise. I removed the toner cartridge and manually turned the roller until it turned smoothly. (this a little hard but it worked). no more noise!

If you have a fuser error it's probably a burned out lamp or temperature sensor. In rare cases the power supply for the fuser goes out and doesn't supply voltage to heat the fuser. Since you don't know what to do or what's wrong, you can either order a new fuser from www.precisionroller.com or take it to a shop before you buy something you don't need.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges
