How can I get a

Hi margomontez!

You can get the driver from the manufacturer's site at this link
http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/download/SearchResults.aspx?productname=magicolor%203100%20

Just select the one that matches your operating system (windows 7, windows xp, etc.
If you are downloading it onto the computer you want to install it on just double click the file you are downloading once its done and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you installing it on a different computer than the one you are downloading it on take the file you downloaded and burn it to a cd/dvd or copy over to your storage device (flash drive, etc)

That should take care of it for you and good luck!

Does the printer show any message on it's display ?

Most common problem with these printers is the driver setting (mostly media type/weight) conflicting with the settings made via the front panel menu's.

Red dots appear about one inch from the left edge.

There is possibly something on one of the magenta rollers inside the imaging unit. You could inspect the imaging unit and try to locate the debris, possible removing it with a q-tip or other soft device.

The Xerox Phaser 6200 is the same as your Minolta. Xerox made a cleaning device for this. See the document at this link: http://www.xerox.com/office/out98kb/,case=83590

The cleaning tool referenced is available for $75 plus shipping (usually $15 overnight).

Imaging Unit Missing Error

Hi, I had the same problem. The following Cause and solution may help you fix your machine.

All refereces to left and right are facing the front of the machine as if for normal use.
The cause is due to the connector on thtop left rear of the imaging unit. this connector is mated with a coresponding, retractable connector in the body of the machine. When you open the cover over the top of the imaging unit, this connector retracts back into the body of the machine and when you close the lid it should re-engage with the imaging unit, The problem is that it dosen;t reconnect. I have asumed that it is due wear in the connector operating mechanism. This solution was effective for my printer.

Switch Off!!!
remove the topcover (after removing the colour catridges )and. remove the left hand side panel. You will see a nylon gear mechanism. Sqeeze together the nylon clip inthe centre of the gear wheel, and pull the gear about halfway off. This should allow you to move the vertical geared bar up 1 notch. .Push the gear wheel back on and try the machine to see if it works ok. All covers will need to be closed and if it works ok , reassemle the machine. Job done -about 10 to 15 mins. It tookme alot longer to find it,so some feedback would be appreciated.
