AVIC D1 back light/ touch screen not working
The problem is likely FU1821 located on side B of the main system board. the part number is CEK1257 cost is about $10, it is a fast blow 2A fuse. Replacing this yourself will require some fairly good soldering skill, as this is a miniature surface mount component, it doesn't just plug in to the board. I ordered mine from partsearch.tigerdirect.com ; but there are several sites that offer this proprietary part, I was able to replace it without incident in about 1 hour using a small soldering iron, forceps (to hold the tiny fuse in place), and a desoldering tool.
How do i repair a kenwood dnx7160
I learned years, to become a repair engineer. Invested thousands of dollars in measurement equipment to be able to test electronics. Visited lots of seminars to learn in the factory, how to repair several brands. Still it take me time to diagnose what is wrong with a defective apparatus, when it is connected to my tools. And you think I would be able to tell you how to repair in just a few sentences? without knowing what the DNX7160 does and what not?
Please if you want a technical advice, at least tell a bit more about what is wrong and how you detected this. If nothing works, just check the connection and fuses, but if it is acting different from what you expect a deeper diagnose will be needed.

My screen wont go up
Replacing the unit will be the cheapest solution once that motor is gone your pretty much out of luck, try getting a double din video screen next time, the motorized ones has constant issues of failing no matter how cool it looks opening and closing.
Update nav street software
Ebay has CD's fairly cheap and most new. Just browse sellers info and check on pioneers website to see what the latest version is. I plan on buying the newest one here in January.
Hi i have an AVIC-D1
there is a safety wire that needs to be connected to the handbrake switch for the dvd player to work car needs to be parked to work
Avic d1 head unit causes alternator wine
Did you try his in your vehicle? With all of your wiring and plug? Usually noise is caused by a faulty ground. If his worked with your wiring then the problem is probably a bad ground in your unit. Someone should open the unit and check for bad solder connections.
Pioneer avic-d1
Have you tried holding the open button until it opens fully?
Face plate won't open
remove the battery from the car then spray the side of the faceplate frame with alcohol let dry completely then test
Avic-d1
I had the same problem.
I found that resetting the AVIC-D1 with the engine running functioned differently tjhat wirth the engine off. I first tried pressing the reset thit the ignition on and the engine off, but that didn't fix the problem.
I did a reset with the engine running and the parking brake set and the open button started working again.
Good luck.
Pioneer AVIC-D1 Touchscreen Wont Work
Pioneer has a repair service center in California. Look up warrenty and service repair on their site. With a problem that detailed it realy cant be narrowed down to one thing. The good thing is you have enough wrong that you actualy benifit from their flat rate fee's for repair.
Me on the other end ended up paying $200 for them to replace a fuse. :( So yeah look up the repair centers number, give them a call and they will tell you what you need to do. The unit is repairable.
My unit does not turn on anymore
If no power at all then check the vehicle fuse box for a blown fuse. If all are well, there may be an inline fuse which would require pulling the stereo out and checking a fuse that is inserted in the wire just before the stereo. Another place may be a fuse that is plugged or screwed in to the actual stereo. Hope you find the problem. Good luck.
