Hello John,

these doors open on the side, they have the hinges under and above, with screws, at least when they look like the ones in the link.
These hinges can be adjusted with the screws at the bottom.
I wish you good luck, Dik

Hi Tim,
I suppose it is the cooker of the photo, a Rangemaster Classic.
These doors open on the side.
There are 4 screws who fix them.
Unscrew them and you can take the door apartThe link is for the user manual. On page 18, fig 6.3 and 6.4, you find more information.

Hello,

it is always terrible when items does not work as it should.
I expect that this cooker has flame safety.
The first thing I suspect, is your FFD (=flam failure device). Besides the burner are 2 points, one is for the spark, the other is the sensor for the safety device. On that point is connected a thin copper "wire" that goes to the tap. There it is screwed in.
The test is, stays the burner on when you keep the button pressed in. If that is the case, and the burner goes out after letting go the button, then I am sure it is the FFD.

I hope this helps, Kin regards, Dik

Lack of air to burn will cause this . air mix on burner needs adjusting . crack or leak on burner would upset flame . burner could need cleaning .

Ream out all the orifices and air venturi holes on the burner, adjust the air-ahutter, the air-shutter is usually nearer the valve/knob than to the burner. Yellow flame is an imbalance of fuel to oxygen and is creating Carbon Monoxide and not burning cleanly... this is the same problem that can make a furnace deadly. Blue flame=neutral flame.

Brian Moore... hello,

Beautiful unit...

It appears that parts are abundant... sellers on eBay

- I always make a rule of going to AT LEAST three (3) parts providers... with SEARS PARTS DIRECT typically being the highest cost...(but they have an excellent technical reference library).

If you can get the ACTUAL PART number off of your original documentation... you will be able to COMMAND the very best prices

Happy hunting...

That looks like a problem with the control panel assembly.

Try first unplugging power cord for ten minutes, then plug back.

Press the selector wheel for 5 seconds and see if this reset it.

If that does not work , then you need to replace the control assembly. YYou find diagrams and replacement parts by entering the model number here.

Try turning the power off and leaving it off to the oven for 15 minutes or so. Turn the power back on and see if you can reset the clock.

Try removing the burners and soaking in hot soapy water. If this doesnt work, an old trick is to burn the dirt out. Put the burner in the oven and bake it. The heat will soften any dirt and then washing the burner in hot soapy water usually removes the build up. Try poking a needle into the holes to clear them.

Two possibilities, either the bulb has failed, or the temperature sensor in the top has failed. Neither is likely to be an easy or cheap replacement.

If you are holding the knob in for a good few seconds and finding that it still goes out, the thermocouple has failed on that hob. The thermocouple is the metal spike sticking up when you take the ceramic plate and carrier off each ring. First check that the ring pieces are correctly sitting on the cooker, but if they are you will need that thermocouple replacing.
