If auto is flashing, i would say the oven is waiting on a clock time to be set to determine when to start cooking and when to turn off. Try and reprogramme the oven to manual. Reset the clock time, It should work then.

Pull the range away from the wall and access drawer from the rear or try tilting it backwards with help.

this noise probably means that the fan is about to stop working, this is what happened to mine. You can easily buy replacement fan off E-bay (it seems easier to find the right fan on e-bay that any of the confusing supplier sites). You then just need to remove the inside oven back and the outside electrical to replace the fan.

Hi there folks It also happened to me, so after ringing rangemaster they said it can happen due to faults in the glass, unfortunately my warranity had run out and they wanted t charge a fortune to repair. so i had a look inside the door my self which is only four screws on the sides to remove the outer skin to find it was a single piece of ordinary toughend glass about 300mm x 300mm fixed in place with six clips like the ones you find one those glass picture frames, i got a new piece from me local glass merchants for less than £10 and it took only mins to fix job done, I hope this help someone and it my save you quite a bit of cash Cheers folks Markbricky

I assume you mean how do you turn on the griddle? Try the symbols, and if that is not the solution, turn each on individualy until the one that heats is the one you want.

It’s basically as simple as:

Turn off the gas supply to the range.
Turning off the mains power to the range.
Remove the back panel behind the grill.
Remove the 2 power connectors to the grill element.
Remove the earthing wire to the element screw terminal.
Unscrew the grill element securing screws(s) - there will be 1 or 2 depending on the element fitted to your range.
Refit the new element (make sure it has the same mounting screw holes as the one you want to remove) then secure it.
Reconnect the earthing wire to the element screw post.
Make sure that neither of the element tags touch the chassis - check with a continuity tester of ohm meter and adjust if required.
Reconnect the power cables to the element.
Reconnect the power and check that the element works correctly.
Disconnect the mains power again and replace the rear panel(s).
Reconnect the mains power and recheck that the grill functions correctly.
Turn on the gas supply.

yes both can be replaced check for screws on inside of door or under the door.

I havd exactly the same problem. I contacted Rangemaster/Aga support line (0845 603 5312 if in warranty, 0870 789 5107 if not) and they told me the heating element was shot.

My cooker is 2 1/2 years old, so out of warranty, but they were good enough to send me a new cooker top (top left hand side only of course) free of charge!!!, I just have to get it fitted.

You have to replace the whole left hand side of the cooker top too - the burner that the wok goes on!

Hold down two left hand buttons together for a long time. that should do it.

Sounds like a problem to me. Check your oven door gasket to make sure it's intact and also that the oven door is closing completely when this overheating occurs. Although some heat will rise, it shouldn't become "burning hot".

After removing the cover, it should be obvious that one of the pulley's has an adjustment (could be the motor that drives the fan itself) to allow removal and refitting the belt, otherwise there will be a tensioner pulley that has to be released to remove and replace the belt.

I presume it is gas powered? They are available in all sorts of dual fuel variations. When you operate one element all the igniters spark. It sound like the igniter switch for the oven need adjusting. They normally operate on a cam so when you turn the control knob, the cam lobe runs up onto the micro-switch and then off it again creating a ignition spark on the way. Remove the flame spreaders and rings from the 3 rings you use the most, including the faulty one. Put them in a large pan cold water, add a teaspoon of dish liquid and slowly bring to a simmer. As soon as it want to boil over, blow on it and turn the heat off. Leave it to cool. Scrub with a plastic pot brush making particular attention to the holes. You had a blocked one which is the one that directs the gas to the spark igniter. Rinse and dry them, and replace to the hobs.

The thermocouple needs replacing. That is what tells the main gas valve to open when you turn the knob.
