Hi, check
the connector between the radio and face. If they are dirty or bent in
too far the radio face will not work. The radio know that the face is
on but there is no power flow through the connector. You can use a
pencil eraser to clean the contacts.
If there is a reset switch, it will be a pencil tip sized hole either
on the face itself or on the subpanel behind the faceplate. it will not be
marked.................

if the face is remove able change the face your problem like that is cause by face plate

The face plate flashs every few seconds to an
mine did the same thing the brass contacts on the back are dirty or worn clean the contacts by rubbing a pencil eraser on them (both the face plate and the unit) also try pulling the contacts on the face plate out a little more do this gently so you don't damage them......this fixed my problem with the same radio

What is the blue and white wire with the fuse for?
the blue/white wire is to turn an amplifier on. If you have no amp, don't worry about it, Just make sure you cap it off so it won't touch anything as it is hot when the deck is on. The yellow wire is constant power and has to have power going to it even with the key off as it controls the memory of the radio (clock and radio presets).
