Bosch dishwasher starts, pumps, stops and says it's clean

Here is what I found that makes my bosch dishwasher come on. It has the same problems as the OP. I pick the cycle I want press start. The DW will sound like it's trying to drain. I let it run that cycle which takes about 30 seconds. It then starts another cycle that sounds different from the first and when it stops I turn the DW off and then back on, it resets and then it starts the wash cycle. I've done this twice and it has worked both times. I do not know what is causing this but it's better then what I had to do to get it to reset.

Dishwashwer not cleaning dishes at all, though it runs through a complete cycle.

try removing spray spinner and clean out holes the spray heads get blocked and stop water flow, or you may be able to remove spray nozzles and clean out , i had this several times in the past also make sure the base drain filter is clean some times the small holes in the filter get smaller and smaller reducing water flow hope this is of some help good luck

I have a bosch she5al06uc/05 and it seems to run

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description I'd say the issue is with the control...unfortunately.
Bosch has had a history of this exact problem I'm about to lay out for you and this is the first thing I'd be looking for if called out to service the unit with the symptoms you've described.

**B/S/H/ also issued a recall on certain models between 1999 - 2006 depending on the serial number, however it did not apply to your model.** Here's the link so you can see for yourself.

http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/

Those not affected by the recall still can be a problem but easily fixed. As I've alluded to the issue is likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable, the test below will help narrow down the culprit ).

My first suggestion would be calling in an authorized bosch service tech. if that is an option for you and your budget however, If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself.

It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.

The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay,

**Flip this over and inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it...the cover for your models control comes apart in a similar manner**

This is where and what to look for, except I`ve re-soldered this one already...

face585.jpg

...hence the unit sit`s and takes longer
& longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed, other-times it will eventually stop or display "1".

You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.

i.e.

**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last, although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control ( @ approx. $150 - $250USD...$167.99 at "searspartsdirect.com" ) and I don`t pretend to speak on their behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**

**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**

If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.

Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.

Good luck.

Bosch dishwasher leaking on the back

AI Bot Answer Deleted. In the base of the dishwasher above the floor there is a plastic tray that has a leak sensor. If you see water behind the machine than it means you have a 'spraying leak' as the sensor cuts off the machine as soon as it is triggered. It is likely to be a leaking hose on the pump. It can also be caused by the machine over-filling. An E15 error code indicates that the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher. Your leakage protection system has activated. What can I do to fix the E15 Error Code on my dishwasher? Please turn off the water inflow and contact Bosch Customer Support for assistance.

I am not getting water into the dishwasher after changing the inlet valve

Check if there is anything in the large item trap or blocking the water level sensor. The dishwasher won't try to fill if it believes it is full. Try pressing and holding the Start button for 3+ seconds. The Clean LED should light up in a minute. If it does, try the on/off button and starting a new cycle. (This just clears any old programs from the memory.) Some washers will stop if they detected a water leak. Sometimes turning off the power for a while and checking for water in the cabinet below the dishwasher or in the motor area is useful. The more likely items to check: Check the wiring between the inlet valve and the control board. Check the wires for corrosion at the connecting pins and for continuity. Broken conductors don't send a signal to open and close the valve. If those are okay, then the control board itself may be faulty. Since this dishwasher is discontinued by the manufacturer, I don't know if all of the parts are still available. The only parts list for the SHE3ARL2UC/28 that I found is here: https://www.partselect.com/Models/SHE3ARL2UC/ . They don't list any wires or the control board. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Bosch built in microwoven error E 3 how to fiend the problem

If you're seeing an E3 error on your Bosch built-in microwave, it usually indicates an issue with the touchpad or control board. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the problem: 1. Unplug the microwave: The first step is to unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet for at least a minute. This will reset the control board and may clear the error code. 2. Check the touchpad: Sometimes, the E3 error can be caused by a stuck or malfunctioning touchpad. Check the touchpad for any damage or debris that may be interfering with its operation. Clean the touchpad with a soft, damp cloth and make sure it is completely dry before plugging the microwave back in. 3. Replace the touchpad: If the touchpad is damaged or not working properly, it may need to be replaced. Contact a Bosch authorized service center to order a replacement touchpad and have it installed by a qualified technician. 4. Replace the control board: If the touchpad is not the issue, the E3 error may be caused by a faulty control board. Again, contact a Bosch authorized service center to order a replacement control board and have it installed by a qualified technician. In any case, if these solutions do not work, it's best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue, as microwave repairs can be dangerous due to the high voltage involved.
