This may be due to the means of authentication being used -- by the STMP server you are sending to and/or the authentication options selected in your Entourage setup. Mail servers commonly establish restrictions based on authentication to restrict who can send mail through them as a means of preventing spam.

Cable companies for example, and possibly your campus network, often restrict the sending of Mail to those computers that have a local connection to their network based on the IP address they are using -- i.e. where you plugged in or which wireless adapter you are connected to. Ultimately, the mail administrator for your Mail server is likely your best help resource.

Hi, First try logging into your Web based email server, (ie.gmail.com, yahoomail.com). then delete those mails from inbox then try logging in using your entourage.

I suggest logging directly into the webmail interface through your browser. Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have a web based interface (much like Gmaile and Hotmail/MSN) where you can login (using your email address and account password) and access your email that way. You can simply review the messages in your Inbox and delete anything you do not want to download.

Making IMAP Account Well creating an imap account can help you. You have to simply make imap accounts on both the email clients you use and then you can upload you emails from outlook and then download on the other hand in apple mail. Other alternative You can also use the software approach to solve your problem. Various softwares/applications/third party tools are available online. One I am aware of is Pst Converter pro. Not really sure what is wrong but would suggest that you check your account setup under tools/Accounts and see if the setting for advanced settings for receive is set to "This POP service requires a secure connection" is checked or not. It depends on what your ISP requires

Hi,Try to login to your Webmail and see if you can login. when I say Webmail, for example you have a hotmail account, try to login to www.hotmail.com by using Safari or any internet browser.If you can't login to webmail, that means you're enterring the wrong password. Hi,If you already rebuilt the Database and still crashing, that means that your Database(Main Identity) is already corrupted and you need to start a fresh database.Try deleting the messages in your Webmail if you're using IMAP account. Most likely, that message that was stucked in your deleted items folder is causing the issue.If you have TimeMachine enabled, restore to the date when Entouarge last worked.

Launch Microsoft Database Utility. Type Database in Spotlight(Magnifying Glass in upeer right hand of screen) then choose Microsoft Databse utility. CLick main identity then Tick Rebuild Database. You need to quit all Microsoft Office Mac Applciations also before opening Databse utility. After rebuilding, click done and then quit databse utility. Then open Entourage. Hope this helps!

Do you get an error messages within Entourage when receiving? First thing I would check would be my account settings. Does your receiving email server require SSL or any other special settings?

Michael, if you have the option can you use IMAP instead of POP3 for your email server settings? If your email service provides IMAP you might try it as it may appear to work faster than POP3.
