Check to see if any firewalls on your computer are blocking it.
If all else fails,try reinstalling your messenger itself and then restarting your computer.

Base from the description of your problem this is a issue with your yahoo messenger that some part of it is corrupted.
So what you can do here is to uninstall the program from control panel add/remove and then restart the computer and once it back download the latest version of yahoo messenger and then reinstall it and that should correct the problem.
I cannot oppen my yahoo
If you are referring to the YM shortcut on your desktop, please check if the icon still points to YahooMessenger.exe. Right click on the icon and click properties. If you had installed it on the default path it should have "C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe" on the Target field at the Shortcut tab.
In case you had installed it on a different path, you may search for "YahooMessenger.exe" on your PC, and change the Target field accordingly, depending on the path of search result.

ANY Yahoo! Messenger program will not install properly if a former program, or an incomplete install, has not been completely deleted from the computer first. It requires deleting all Yahoo Messenger references from the registry, except your archived messages and profile and contacts lists, perhaps. Use the Control Panel > Add/Remove method, then double-check by going to Start > Search > files and folders > Yahoo! Messenger (notice the exclamation mark in the title). Write down and delete all references manually, except for your Profile folder. Also, go to My Computer > Local Disk > Program Files and delete any Messenger files there.

You may have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer.
To enable scripting:
Click the "Tools" menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Internet Options."
Click the "Security" tab.
Click the Internet (globe) icon and click the "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to "Scripting."
Enable the following:
* Active scripting
* Allow paste operations via script
* Scripting of Java applets are all enabled

Note: Restart Yahoo! Messenger and you should start seeing text in your IM windows again.

I need to install multi
Follow these steps. It will allow you to use multi yahoo messenger and sign in differeny ids at one time.

2. On the box type regedit and
click OK
3. On the left part of the page, double click

4. Under it, double click Software
5. Under
Software, double click yahoo
6. Under yahoo, double click pager

Under pager, double click Test
8. On the right part of the page,
right click with your mouse, select new then select DWORD value.
9. A
"New Value #"1 will appear, right click on this and click rename.
Replace it with "Plural" and hit enter key
10. Double click Plural,
and replace value data with 1 and hit OK.
Close the registry
editor and restart your computer.

I need disk stop yahoo mesanger
if you want to uninstall yahoo messenger - you would need to go into your control panel into the add remove programs.
If you want to keep it from starting up and only run when you want to - you would need to go into the preferences and uncheck it from running when your computer starts up.
Now just closing it from the main screen would have it go to the task bar. you would need to left click to close it on out.

niether you have to reinstall yahoo nor windows.
its as simple as 1-2-3...
yesssss.
1- create a "NEW USER ACCOUNT" from 'control panel>user account for yourself and restart your computer.
2- login to the new user account and go to control panel> user accounts, and then delete ur old user account ( u may want to save your personal folder and files when prompt)( if you want to save your internet explorer favourites , do it manually )
3- there is nothing left to do with 3rd option :-). just connect your internet and enjoy yahoo messenger.
