Pioneer PD-F1007 301-Disc CD Changer Questions & Answers
Pioneer 301 cd player
I found a fix in another thread. I tried it last night, and it worked. Nothing was broken; a moving plastic piece had just jumped out of its track. Here's the fix:
1. Remove the cover (2 screws on each side & 3 in the back).
2. Find a small white arm (more or less cylindrical, about 1" diameter, & about 3/4" long) and a longer (4-5"?) thin black arm in the center of the unit. These parts load/unload CDs to/from the playing area. You should see that a little knob on the white piece has jumped out of its track in the black piece.
3. Carefully put the knob on the white piece back in its track in the black piece. That should do it.
No Disc Light
HI, the Optical lens assembly has failed. either the attached motor has failed or, the lens has burned out.
this assembly will need to be replaced as a whole by the manufacturer in this case. the replacement parts are not available for consumer purchase.

Getting 'no disc'
HI.This will occur when the optical assembly becomes unstable. this ((Whole One Piece)), assembly incorporates the spin/load motor, optics housing /arm, tracking device and tracking rail. This is connected to the loading dock assembly. This 'NO Disc', code is the result of a failed or burned out lens. It is possible that you have a dirty lens cap. you can try using a cleaning disk in this case to confirm actual lens failure. if the cleaning doesn't restore normal reading capabilities, this will confirm my diagnosis.
You will need to have the optical assembly replaced in this case. once replaced, your unit will be able to read and track once more.
