Re; HP 6735b Laptop Bios and

Hi george.I'm afraid you will have to get in touch with HP about this problem. The reason being is that yes you can de-solder the BIOS chip but this is very hard to do with it being on a laptop motherboard. You will need a very steady hand and also a heat gun to melt all the solder points on the chip to remove it, then you have to get the new chip in place properly which again is not easy, even for a tech like me!! To be honest with you I personally wouldn't bother trying to do this because it's that hard to do. If you can prove ownership of the laptop then HP will give you the master reset code to wipe the password from the BIOS.I'm sorry but this is the best advice I can give you.Kind regards.

1st question== my friend gave

that's a functional motherboard you got there. The beep that you hear is an error beep for not reading a ram. Yes, you will insert a ram that is compatible with your motherboard. No you can't use that without a video card. If you've got a spare video card put it on your motherboard

My p4vmm2 rev.8.1 has only

Looks like the max is 2 x 184-pin DDR DIMM socket support up to 1 GB, which means you can get 2 512MB DDR266/200 2.5V DDR SDRAM chips.

as far as video cards, it will accept any AGP 4x or lower card. You could also put a PCI video card in it, but AGP is better.
