Technics SL-MC700 110-Disc CD Changer Questions & Answers
Changer states checking disk, error
Possible broken drive belt, that's what caused the same error on my unit. Very easy to replace, just take off the top cover and the motor and belt are readily accessible.

Technics SL-MC7 / Can't play cd's any more!
Friend. Did you try a CD that you purchased from the store? if so and this problem persist, then you need to get you a new player. If the CDs are scratched, some players will not play them, If they are burnt in mp3 format, (or data format) your player may not recognised this also. Please try playig a regular CD that you bought from the store, if this work, then you will need to reburn your music as a regular CD, hoping that the SL-MC700. reads copied. It should. But please checks these steps.
Please let me know what works.
Thank you

Home theater system
Check all your speaker connections firstly as you may have a short on speakers.try disconnecting speakers at amp side one at a time to see if overload dissappears. If this doesnt help you have an output problem internally and will need to see the doctor

Technics RS-BX501 cassette deck door won't open
If you feel confident doing so, you could attempt to open the cassette deck and physically examine the gears to check for damage or debris that might be obstructing them.
But do remember that there are risks involved when opening electronic equipment, especially if you're not used with doing this kind of work. If you're not sure you can do this securely, it would be preferable to get assistance from a qualified audio equipment repair specialist.
