Acer Realtek AC'97 Audio Driver XP W2K W98 VER. 5.10.0.5554.zip Questions & Answers
I want a Realtek Driver Free registration Key
You don't have to register Realtek drivers. If this machine is running XP, or earlier (98, 2000, ME, etc.), beware. It is no longer supported, and hackers will be looking for these machines to infect. I recommend you back up your data (pictures, documents, etc.) and get a newer machine, or don't try to get on the Internet with this one. If the machine won't boot or let you back it up, and you have important files on it, you could purchase a USB Hard Drive Adaptor, pull out the hard drive, and copy any important files to another machine. That way, at least you may not lose your files. Good luck.
Microphone not working
Can you tell us which windows you use now?
If win 7 you should expand your search for these realtek drivers.
Microsoft.com itself should have the ac'97 drivers.
Otherwise the free driverbooster from io-bits can update all your drivers.
What BIOS settings have to be changed to recognize a sound card?
New systems have integrated sound cards, so most likely it just the drivers you need,However, if you have a PCI add on card it should be plug and play. Again you may need the drivers or setup the PCI card so it recognizes it.If you have an antiquated system then you need to find and adjust the IRQ settings in BIOS. Some software like games also have specific IRQ setting so there are no conflicts. I am talking old like Win 3.1, 95, or 98.
Sound card not workking

Download the latest driver
If that doesn't work then there is a fault with it
My audio driver is not working (error 10)
The Windows error "This device cannot start. Code 10? or "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" is a hardware error that most commonly means that you have a bad, missing, or incompatible device driver. So, for example, "This device cannot start. Code 10 in audio driver" means that you have a bad or missing or incompatible driver for your sound card.
I suggest trying an update, or if you just updated it roll back the driver.

How can i download sound
Hi
The best method consist of detecting the sound card you have.
For this use this website :
http://www.ma-config.com/en/home/
then click on "Run the detection"
After installing the plugin you can see all the drivers you have.
Select the Realtek AC'97 Sound card and then download it.
Finally install it.
I think the solution is very clear.

No sound coming out of speakers on desktop. I have
Is this a newly purchased or old computer that was working recently?
Your problem is little confusing. In the second sentence "I have tried testing speakers/headphones- they work....." I am unable to follow that, but I assume you were testing the sound from the Realtek Sound Manager or etc.. Well, if the sound settings is properly configured and and the volume sliders can be adjusted, then there must be a little mistake somewhere, I wouldn't suspect the driver. First of, Turn off the computer and unplug the audio connector from the motherboard, now turn back On the computer and try again. Make sure no digital audio line is connected, if so, disconnected it and let only the analog lines work for now. Some motherboards like Asus P5KPL series, need to manually change the digital to analog settings from the Bios Settings, but I don't think that's applicable with the motherboard.
Please update the status so that I will also be able to update you with more options. Till then Good luck.
Mpowering technology pop up
Couldn't get rid of mpowereing technology pop up. Tried every solution offered by the internet. Finally I noticed when I powered up my computer the pop up showed up even before the computer loaded anything. I turned off the power to the monitor and powered it back up an viola, pop up gone. The Acer monitor had generated the pop up.
My Acer X1110 switches off as soon as blue light comes on?
it needs service, and service manuals are hard to find on anything by the likes of ACER.
this projector worked for 12 long years, did you own it 12 or bought a bad projector, no history told as I can buy dead projectors all day long. and hard nut problems even hacking done.
Acer X1110 data projector Standard throw projector..
did you know most projectors have serious grade protective devices inside??? (tamper and overheating are 2)
did you read owners manual page 32 yet, errors.
LED codes.?
there are 4 LED, and all 4 matter, projector turned (ON) (not one =1)
also in pairs glowing and also if blinking or not, so read page 32
it tells all that.
my guess is overheat failures, even cold, due fan slow or packed in lint after 12 years of use and no service done,.

some have dust filtler
a shop first cleans is out first, and check fan RPM with and LED tachometer.
this is all SOP.
