Try pressing alarm followed by up or down button. This worked for me

i pressed "loc" until the city lcd is flashing and then keep pressing the down button until "lon" is selected!! Was tricky and i had to be patient!!!

Also the odd day part yopu n eed to keep moving "up" until you see the uk setting!

Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed. If there are reset buttons, also try them.

Hello Peter. I have just purchased a tx6470 and have had exactly the same problems.
Just subsitute the up/down buttons for hr/rcc.
The 1 2 3 positions are the channels that the outside unit transmits on,you can check this by looking at the inside display where it shows ch in the outside display.
Regarding the city code just make a guess to a large city near you, the British cities are lumped together London is Lon Glasgow is Gla Edinburgh is Edh.
The day Do. I did a reset of the date and it cleared to the correct day
To get the outside details to reappear, remove and refit battries from inside unit and reset everything.

I would choose the closest city to the UK and then follow it for awhile and see if it is giving the correct phases for your area. If it is NOT giving the correct phases then I would sell it on ebay and get most of your money back and then buy one that is compatible with your country.

There is a mounting bracket on the back of the "sender unit" which unclips. Unclip it and remove the four little screws from the unit. Then carefully prize out the plastic cover! (Mine was quite tight and won't just drop out as you might expect. I used a very small screwdriver.)

It takes about 1 day for our database to update all of our web servers and place your station on your local forecast page.
