I have tried all of the above solutions, but none of them worked! Does anyone else have another solution? Cheers.

try geting on the station that you want to preset and hold down the buttons at the bottom usually 1-6

I will make this simple for you. The yellow wire needs to go to a power source that is constant. Check the wire with a meter or a test light to verify it is constant regardless of what position the key is in. If you have a weak battery that makes your car hard to start this will cause the radio to lose power while the engine is trying to crank while starting. So if you have verified the yellow wire has a constant power source and the red is switched, This isn't rocket science...if it works the problem is solved. If it loses memory again its your radio with the problem period. Unless you have an intermitant constant power on the yellow wire

check the fuse make sure its not blown if it has a battery make sure the battery is not replace both.

the brown is a mute wire. i dont recomend hooking this wire up

Sound like one of your car speakers is faulty, try using the fader and see if it still happens when all sound is to the front or rear and try left and right.

it is the clutch plates they need to be replaced

It sounds like the head unit has a ground on the "telephone" lead.

Make sure that all unused leads are taped off or otherwise insulated against touching other leads or the vehicle frame.
