It is sad the device manufacturers and even Microsoft don't offer any support for Windows98 users. Windows 98 is much stable and relatively safer against virus attacks than the newer Windows versions.

sir .... 1. press f8 before the windows get boots up 2. enter into the safe mode 3. login as administrator(does not require pass) 4. change ur password form the user accounts in the control panel 5. restart then put the new password u can use ur account pls do try this sir.. and reply :) hope it works

"direct 3d device 9" is the directX for Win98. For Windows 98 you have to install DirectX 8.1b. If you graphic card does not support 3D function you will not have "3D acceleration".

if you are using internet or external devices like pen drive/memory card at your PC and you dont have gud anti virus then you must format and reinstall OS (Window). else check the CPU FAN.

You can dump the windows98 setup to your usb flash drive using wintoflash software and boot your system using usb flash drive. Proceed with the installation steps for win98.

Hello there, it seems you broke the TCP/IP stack, i recommend, remove all networking components in Control Panel -> network and reinstall all of them, second i strong recommend upgrade to a new S.O. Win9x have several security flaws easy exploited by bad guys what can not be fixed.

try to create boot disk then boot up from floopy and type command scandisk /fix
if only system problems scan disk will fix it ror u unless yr hard disk problems or bad sector problem

Windows 98 does not support SATA.

It may be possible to use an IDE to SATA converter to make the SATA drive look like an IDE drive.

Something like this:

Then the SATA drive will look like an ordinary IDE drive to the hardware.

Windows 98 has limited USB support, and very few USB storage devices have a Windows 98 driver.

may be u r usingthe wrong sound driver thats why u not geting any sound output... install updated sound driver from the official website of your sound card.. if problem persists then there might be some internal problem..

windows 98 need driver for your pendrive working, make sure you install the driver first.

If you are using Windows 98, it's an obsolete Operating System and virtually nothing supports it anymore. Upgrade to XP if you can. Otherwise, you will constantly run into problems like this.
