Earthquake tiller viper 43cc engine will not start
I have the same issue, I thought it was the carburetor so I cleaned it and put it back together, same issue, I put a new carburetor on it same issue, has great spark, if I spray carb cleaner into it, it will start and run for a few seconds even throttle up, but then it dies, and will not start again without carb cleaner spray, and fuel is fresh and properly mixed, very confusing indeed.

I need to rev the throttle to prevent the engine from stalling.
Try checking these two things: idle adjustment (usually milled screw on the carburettor) or there could be a problem with the governor - this is usually a plate that is driven by the airflow from the cooling fan, check that this moves freely (usually a shaft from the cooling fan on to the carburettor butterfly valve), if this is not free, then the engine will only run on idle, will not reach running speed, garden debris can cause it to jam...

I have an older earthquake
it is very likely water in the fuel. by a bottle of gas line antifreeze, it will soak up any water. add about a half bottle or slightly less. let it sit for about five minutes then try to restart it.
