it is possible that the knob was overtightened. check the slipping knob to see if there is a crack in the shaft. the other option is that it is stripped. either way, it will not be considered normal wear but you should be able to find a replacement knob at your local store

Inside pump is a difram , it most likely is stuck, some times if you shut off pump, turn back on a few times it might release itself, but most likely needs to be replaced. Let me know, mike from fixya.com

If you are still having problems please post more info. Does circulation seem normal at pool inlet returns? Do you have full prime at pump?

take a picture or two of your pump and wiring and go to your local ace hardware. so yes you can but it takes a high amp switch, and some extra fittings and a box to hold the switch. jay

no is not right if you have replaced the motor on the label can tell you what wires to chnage to meke it run in the right diretion

Fill the pump pot with water and make sure the lid o-ring is lubed and in good condition. Replace the lid and turn the pump on. If it still won't prime make sure the water in the pool is high enough. Otherwise you make have a suction side leak. Any breech in the plumbing will allow air to enter the water stream. If the breech is big enough no water will be drawn to the pump.

Do you mean no water pumping?If so it's likely that your impeller is broken. The impeller screws onto the motor shaft.
