I have the exact same problem with a 20 inch tv of the same brand , Maybe possible recall i dont know what to do

The one I bought from Walmart has never played one disc. Always says wrong disk. Factory set for region 1 and I live and bought it in region 2.

your set needs the tech doctor you are having a problem in the power supply with your regulator or diode in the power supply.

This must be a duplicate post. And because I'm not sure which one you'll check I'll just post the answer here too... Diamond vision is a little pickey with handing out their code access. And Rogers doesn't have a whole lot about accessing components like DVD players. But try this: 1. Turn on DVD player 2. Press the AUX button at the top of the remote 3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED light blinks twice. 4. Press 9-1-1 in sequence, the LED will blink twice again. 5.Aim the remote at the DVD player and slowly alternate pressing POWER and AUX. Stop when DVD turns off. 6. Press SETUP to lock the code in memory. It may take several minutes of alternating between POWER and AUX to find the appropriate code - be patient... If after ten minutes you haven't got it try programming it as a VCR - steps 1 through 6 above and substitute VCR for AUX.. Good Luck Bill

Have you used this DVD before in this player? Does it work in another player. Im thinking if it is new maybe its in the wrong format to use with your TV set.

hmmmm maybe you have a bad input jack on the tv?? if you have another one try that or another set and the cables. other then that it could be a misajusted laser assy, a bad D to A converter, or a demodulator problem. GoodLuck

Since the device is new, I suggest that you take it back to the shop, ask for a replacement and check it while in the shop to make sure its working. This is assuming that you made sure that you're trying to play the correct format discs. Consult the manual on which format DVD's it can support. Its multi-region so that can't be the problem, but its possible that you're trying to play other unsupported formats. Try also playing other discs - audio discs, DVDs, DIVX etc... make sure the disc isn't scratched badly. But the bottom line is you shouldnt have problems on the first day, take it back. Good luck!
