Usually the culprit is the feed rollers get slick and the paper will not grab. Check the rollers.

You could have a bad cartridge and the printer is not reading the chip, causing this error. Best way to check is try a new cartridge.

New cartridge wouldnt print but sounded like it was printing. You can check ink levels clean or align cartridge by pushing menu then tools. I cleaned contact points w qtip and alcohol. What seemed to work is putting alcohol on cartridge where ink is released and putting back into machine wet did this three times first time little dots of ink then a faint print and now it is printing must have been dried ink further then I could access.

Connect the line in the fax (LINE JACK) AND THE landline in the fax jack MARKED AS TEL.

You can use as TEL and Fax, but to receive the fax AUTOMATICALLY, IT MUST BE IN FAX only.

Make sure your CARTRIDGE ISN'T EXPIRED, if the DATE ON THE BOX IS EXPIRED IT WON'T WORK.

IF IT JAMS OR TAKE ALL THE DOC AT THE SAME TIME CLEAN OR REPLACE ADFRollers and separation pad. TEMPORARY SOLUTION IS use sanded paper gently to give surface of roller and adf pad, moer grip

CHECK IF THERE IS ANY ALARM, CHECK CARTRIDGE, CHECK PAPER PICK UP ROLLER AND SEPARATION PAD, CLEAN OR REPLACE IT.

Could be WASTE COMPARTMENT FULL. if you see a LOT OF INK ACCUMALATED , CLEAN IT w/ a RAG socked in WATER (not too much water.

Check if the line is connected in the right JACK, should be connected in the LINE not in the TEL. Sometimes in commercial area TEL SERVICE MAN BRAKES ONE OF THE WIRES IN THE BLOCK CONNECTION.

INK CARTRIDGES ARE TIME SENSITIVE, check if the date in the box was current or expired.

check if the LINE is connected in the RIGHT JACK (LINE), not in the TEL jack. Check the panel or display if it is in (FAX OR AUTO) if the mod is in TEL it won't receive.

Check sensor flag at ADF and CLEAN the ADF roller(s) and separation pad.

Check the cartridge; defective or SEAL not propperly removed.

open front cover, hit clean or pause; it will display: REPLACED DRUM; choose yes and hit ok.

if it JAMS, clean or replace the ADF roller(s) and separation pad.

Is the POWER cable WELL CONNECTED to th Machine and to the outlet? Also could be formatter board.
