I would try elevating the unit a little. Gravity should take care of it. I not saying it will work. But its worth a shot.

You will need to use a drain hose that is no longer than 5 feet. Using a hose relies entirely on gravity. So, the hose must slope downward with no kinks. A short 5' section of Garden Hose works well. The female coupling end attaches to the dehumidifier. It's a very effective way, not to having to stop and drain the tank time it's full.

The ADEW50LP, is a low Temperature Unit, which designed for basement applications.
The ADER50LP, is a standard unit. Used for all applications, other than a basement.
Both have the external drain feature and the same water extraction capacity.

Paul, there is a clog either in the hose or in the connecter tubing you have the hose connected to. Use an 18" long plastic Zip Tie (or something similar. NO wire cost hangers, though) that will fit into the hole at the hose connection. Carefully insert it into the hole and work in until you reach the bend of the tubing. Here's the tricky part, as you have to work it past this bend. Once you do and the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of Zip tie, slowly pull it back out, while rotating it. This will loosen any clogs, so be prepared for water to follow.

Also. keep in mind that the hose should be no longer than 5'. As the dehumidifier relies on gravity to drain the water through the hose.

First remove the bucket. Easily clean the filter w/warm soapy water either under lightly running water or carefully gently clean w/towel. Tap lightly to remove any excess water. Place filter up to air dry which shouldn't take long. After putting filter back in, press. & hold the clean filter reminder button for at least 3 seconds.
