Is there a special code to direct water to pump, dump bucket or drain

That would be the "Pump" button on the control panel. When you press it, your dehumidifier display should indicate "PUMP", and the unit should start pumping water out that little port at the center rear of the dehumidifier. Alternatively, you could stand the dehumidifier on a counter and direct your waste water out the larger hose connection into a sink. I personally carry it (more than five gallons per day) upstairs to the laundry, because it's distilled water - the softest water you can get. Works GREAT in the washing machine. 8) 8) 8)

Just purchases the DD50PC. Set

The reason this happened may be two fold. Either the hose is clogged or the length of hose is to long and then has to go up hill into the slop sink. The owner's Manual says the pump is rated for an 8 foot lift. However, what I have discovered is that rating, does not take friction loss in to account.

Try moving the unit closer to the sink and shorten the hose about a foot or two. Actually, a floor drain would be perfect, if you have one in your basement.

Hope this helped you ad thanks for choosing FixYa.

Bought a Delonghi dd50pc dehumifier

You really answered your own question. The pump in the dehumidifier only has so much water lift capacity. By trying to run it up and out, you have exceeded the maximum lift capacity. Using a floor drain or even a bathtub drain in the basement will probably work, as long as the hose is not to long.*
However, if you can use a floor drain, there's no need to use the pump function. You can use the continuous drain on the back of the unit. using the drain hose provided for that application.

*The 13 ft lift capacity noted in the Owner's Manual includes whatever length of hose you're using to get to the window. As there is some friction loss involved. But, they fail to point that out.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

The water will not drain into the storage tank,

The drain tube and or hole that is supposed to drain water into the bucket is clogged. To solve this problem, do the following:

First, turn the Unit OFF & Unplug it.
Remove the water collection bucket and look up inside the bucket holder cavity. You will see either a drain hole or small tubing that drains the water into the bucket. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hole or tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reinstall the bucket, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. NOTE: if you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar, but NO wire coat hangers.

Hope this helps you and thanks for using FixYa.

I was just given a DD50PC as a gift from a friend

On a dehumidifer, you set the relative humidity, not temperature. Normally the humidity should be set within 40 to 60 percent humidity.

My delonghi dem 10 dehumidifier is working and collecting water but but the pause is continuously flashing why is this

The flashing pause light on your DeLonghi dehumidifier indicates that the unit is in a defrost cycle. During this time, the compressor shuts off and the fan continues to run in order to thaw any ice that may have formed on the coils. This process typically lasts for 10-15 minutes before the unit resumes normal operation. If the pause light continues to flash even after the defrost cycle is complete, it may indicate a problem with the unit's sensor or control board. In this case, it is recommended to consult the user manual or contact a professional for assistance with troubleshooting and repairs.

I have a DeLonghi NF 90 air conditioner/dehumidifier. The dehumidifier does not appear to be working - first time I have tried to dehumidify. Have had this unit for about 8 years. Thanks, Niall

If the air conditioner works and is blowing out super chilled air, then the dehumidifier function should work. The function takes in warm moist air and passes it over plates which are marginally colder than the ambient air. The air condenses and drips into a collection tank, or some have drain hose for putting into a floor drain. After 8 years, it may need service and gassing up, but you may also have drier air than you think. Whether is works in AC Mode is the key.
