How do you fix picture messaging
1. Before we get started, make sure you have an internet plan and a
messaging plan on your account. Most companies offer a "pay per use"
feature. This is where you pay for the pictures you send, if you dont
send any you dont get charged. All companies have messaging plans where
you can bundle messages togther. This is good for the frequent message
senders. Prices vary, but most can be added on by logging into your
account online. Internet is needed in order to send multimedia files.
2. The first thing to do is empty out all those old messages. Check
your inbox, outbox, sentbox and every other box your phone may have.
Clear those old messages out, they could be whats holding you back
3. Clear your phones memory. Messaging uses your phones memory, so
having too much stuff can hold you up too. Got duplicate pictures?
Delete some of those. Got some unused video on your phone? Delete those.
This will also help with the overall quality of your phone.
4. Turn your phone off an on. Most people never turn their phones
off. This is usually fine, but can wear on your phone and it's
connection to the network. Turn it off, wait at least 20 seconds, and
turn it back on.
5. Do the above four steps and test it. If it fails, you may have a
problem with your phone settings. Try doing a "master reset". This can
be easily found in the phone's menu. If, after you reset the phone and
it does not power off and on by itself, turn it off again for 20 seconds
and turn it back on. Most resets can be found by going into the
MENU>SETTINGS>RESET SETTINGS. It can be worded differently for
every phone. It will ask for a code, if you havent already set up the
code in your phone, it will still be set on the default code. Here are
some default codes: MOTOROLA 000000, NOKIA 12345, SAMSUNG 0000, LG 1111.
6. Detirmine if it is actually your phone that is causing the
problem. If you have a carrier that uses sim cards (also known as smart
chips), you can switch your sim card out into a phone that you know
works. If your sim works in that phone, you know you have a phone
problem. This will not apply to Verizon or Alltel.
If you do all of the above steps correctly and it's still not
working, you have a more serious problem. It could be anything to your
phone being broken, network is down, phone is incompatable, and more.
Calling tech support can be a hassle but if you are educated when you
call in it makes things alot easier, for you and them.
All major cell phone companies want you to use their websites. Tons
of good information can be found there. Device tutorials, step by step
instructions, account features add and remove, and known issues are
posted there.. I would visit your carrier's website before calling (look
for the "phone support" link) just to make sure you're not missing
anything. You might just learn something.
