first check color level setting on the tv when on av source input. double check input you are using, yellow video input (not green) then try another device in that same input, then try the DVD player on another tv. The problem will be either DVD player or incompatibility or bad main board in TV, but usually a DVD or compatibility problem(cheap DVD player)

Where are the pictures coming from? Off-air, cable, DVD, VTR, computer, etc?

Plug stick in and go to multi media mode and select from there.

Your symptoms point to the main board [the board with all the input connections], no simple fix, you must replace the board. Less likely the keypad is bad, just unplug the keypad and see if channel display stops popping up.

My TV had soon, no picture, but backlight on.The connection of the 12V line on the input board, comming in from the supply board and going to the display controller board was gone. Thats the Inverter board. Your model used several different types which are not interchangeable. You can get the correct Inverter Board for your model by contacting the guys over at www.tvrepairworld.com

Unless you have electronics repair experience, you will need to replace the power supply. If you do have some repair experience, I would check for any shorted diodes, bridge rectifier, switching mosfet, or a cap on the primary side. Replacing the fuse will not solve your problem.

All these sets use two boards (most) inside----one drives the picture left side and the other right side----sounds like your problem.Contact LG (you listed it here as the brand) to see if this is a known issue with your model and if even if out of warranty do something.It does not hurt to ask.

Thats almost alwasy a Tconn issue replacing the Tconn board should solve the issue in most cases you can get replacement T conn from www.tvcircuitboards.com

its probably a loose conection from the av cables wiggle them and if that dont work you may have to replace them there usally red yellow and white

Tv have a power supply board problems.That the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.U have all the tools and know and understanding basic electronic also can do basic soldering work too?Yes,take the tv aparts and check the tv power supply board carefully,looking for dying and leaking components parts that are calling capacitors parts.These capacitors parts are dying and leaking are alway bulges up or puffing up on to it tops.These dying and leaking capacitors parts must be replaced,will help the tv power on quickly again.Replacing new capacitors parts,with the same Micro Farad but the voltages should go over to 5 or 10 voltages over the old capacitors parts u are replacing.This way the new capacitors parts u are replacing will with stand heat better,will not dies to soon like the old capacitors was on the power supply board before.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
