All y'all are wrong. It can be fixed. This is one of the only lcd with an actual GLASS front on top of the panel. I cracked mine and got it replaced for about $300

There is a problem with your tv--well sort of. It needs a factory reset for starters. No I am not speaking of unplugging the television for a specific amount of time or completing the reset all in the menu. I am talking about going into the service menu and rebooting. Think of it the same way as when you have to restart your computer sometimes when it is running slowly or etc. For manufacturers that walk their customers through factory resets you do have to speak with a representative because the instructions ought not be in print or distributed online because the tvs memory can be wiped if it is done incorrectly. LG might dispatch a service provider to do it instead. With this television being so new they might even recommend exchanging it for a new one.

Regardless of whether you find a "universal remote" code for this TV, you will not have access to several special features of this TV. If, by chance, you live near an Aaron's Sales & Lease store, they can order the remote for you at normal retail cost. (I work there and we carry that TV). Check the website of your remote's manufacturer, they may have an updated code list available.

Easy solution; this is a very common problem. Connect Cable or satellite box / DVR directly to one of the TV HDMI inputs. Connect an optical audio cable from that box to receiver so sound is surround through your speakers. You cannot connect DVR directly to receiver because the anti pirating chip will shut off the picture and produce a green or no screen at all.
You can, however, connect a BD (Blu-Ray) player via HDMI cable directly to your receiver without that problem. Connect HDMI output from receiver to a second HDMI input on the LG.

This is the Power Board for it. check those 6 electrolytic Capacitors on the right for bulging or splitting. Don't buy it blindly, it's a guess.
