i think i could be a power supply issue... If you have the courage to open the back cover of your tv, and you do "NOT" see any bad (bulging ) capacitors on the power supply, then it could be the voltage regulator. Sounds like there's a short in the power somewhere. I'd start with unplugging it then checking to make sure all cables and/or cords are properly connected (i.e. make sure there are no loose cords anywhere)

Sounds like firmware problem. Try by update the firmware. Contact the authorized service center. This is a skilled work. Inform them about this fault too. Firmware update to HDMI is separate. You own a plasma tv throw it away and buy either lcd or led Your tv is not worth fixing buying a new one will be cheaper and will last longer

It sounds like a problem with your power supply board. Most likely one or more of the capacitors on board have failed. You can tell when a capacitor is bad when the top bulges out, even slightly. I would carefully try and take apart the unit and check the board for any bad capacitors, burnt spots on the board, etc..
