LG 47LD520 47 in. HD-Ready LCD TV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Repairing an LCD tv
I would replace the TV, the problem is most likely the main PC board is shorted, the part and labor is close to the cost of new.
Why does it turn off and on frequently while we are watching it?
Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
HOW DO I REPLACE CAPACITORS ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD?
This is not a job for anyone who does not have soldering experience.
Once the power supply board is removed, it may be clear which capacitors have failed, as they will often have a 'domed' top. It's worth replacing others too to save having to do the job again in a few months.
Replace with identical value, top quality capacitors from a reputable manufacturer. I recommend the Panasonic FR range. Double check that the capacitors have been installed the right way around (stripe is negative side).
Lg 47ld520 red light blinks
The LG web site recommends that the consumer schedule a service technician if the
set fails to turn on... no help on the red light blinking.
The LG service technician will want to know about the blinking lights, though.
Here's your TV User Manual (in English) for $6.99:

The LG site has nothing in the way of a users manual (just a 2-page spec sheet), and
no technical support. They list a parts distribution place though, at:

Today, while watching tv on
If you are using a powerstrip may not be supplying enough power to run the LG HDTV and your HD receiver. If you are using a powerstrip make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall. Otherwise this may be a grounding issue please reply if this doesn't work and we can look into some other possibilities.

I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning.
Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem.
Check for Updates: Make sure your DVD player's firmware is updated. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for firmware updates.
Try a Different TV: Connect your DVD player to a different TV to see if the noise disappears. If it does, the issue might be with your TV.
The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out.
Remember that prolonged use of a malfunctioning DVD player could potentially cause damage. If the problem persists, consider seeking professional repair or replacement
