I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. before you consider it needing repair check a few things:In menu of SET are SPEAKERS SWITCHED ON OR OFF?Is volume on SET or a Box if used down or muted.Does the set have an internal or external speaker switch?last but not least does the set have sound when a DVD etc is connected via the rear audio and video jacks?

Forget it---The cost of a PDP (plasma display panel) easily will exceed the cost of the set when new---not to mention major labor to replace it.

Underneath the glass there is a thin film of metal that is half of the "connection" that gives you a picture. When you cracked the glass that connection may have been severed and in doing so killed the tv. Sorry about the news :(
