I have no power, i called a repair man, he said

The set if it has a DM unit when unplugged should blink for 70 seconds and allow you to turn on.

If it does not, if when you try to turn on green light comes on and goes off---do the self check:

Press and hold both the menu and input buttons for 5 seconds and release both; power light should blink a two digit error code at least 5 times. 2 blinks, pause and 2 blinks is the most common.

If the set has a reset button on the front it has a DM unit---built in receiver--even if it fails the green power light will blink nonstop.

Again, if you try to turn on and green power light comes on and then goes off---do the self check and let me know what you find.

If this information was helpful rate this solution as "very helpful" as I do this here for free.

Also let me know what you do or do not find as I am here to help you.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-65809 system and I can't

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code 2-2 means short protect which is either caused by bad convergence ICs and/or 2 Pico fuses (F9A05 and F9A04). You’ll need to open the back of the unit and replace the parts that have gone bad to resolve this issue.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I own a model Mitsubishi

First up. I think you did the job correctly. Yes SANYO ICs are always recommended and I order them on e-bay or sites like encompass parts, partstore.com etc., The only step I think you have missed is adjusting the convergence on the unit. Press Menu -2-2-5-9 to activate convergence adjustment mode. Now you should see some crosshairs . You can only move the red and the blue and green is fixed(which should be used as the reference point). Try aligning them with the green to see if that does the trick. By the way I have a service manual for this unit that I can give you if you want.

My Mitsubishi projection TV will not produce audio or video

Hi,
Two things are involved to cause that problem, tv remote control and remote sensor in tv.
Upon verification of remote working, it would be confirm that remote sensor in tv is defective and need to be replaced.
Remote control sends infra red light signal to tv and we can not see that light with naked-eye, so need digital camera or cell phone camera to see it by watching remote front through camera, press any keys on remote, if you see infra red light is blinking in remote front that means remote is working and remote sensor in tv will be replaced.
If no light blinking on pressing remote buttons confirm that this remote is defective and buy new remote.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

It appears to be convergence issues. Red, green,

Projection TV2_bing.gif sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung2_bing.gif, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith2_bing.gif, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit from the link below.

Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D2_bing.gif
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash2_bing.gif focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi 65511 HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

I hope that helps.

I have a Tedelex Ec Rp 4389 Rear Projection with a

Pin 10 should be at the positive convergence power voltage. The ICs run on a plus and minus voltage from a power supply. Usually +/- 15V to +/- 30V. (don't know this brand.) (not sure if -570 is replacement for -560; could be.) I'd look through main power supply for these 2 voltages. Ohm to pin 10, etc. Check PS fuses there.
