They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. is that wavy in vertical motion? and bending?  in that case maybe you have low voltage in your power inlet! or can you specify the color of wave and motion, if horizontal or vertical?

TV won't power on.

The Convergence ICs are bad. There is a pair of them on rather large heatsinks on the main board. If you have little or no soldering experience these can difficult to remove and replace. Not a cheap or quick fix.

The picture on my Mitsubishi Model VS-45607 is not

Good Day,
It sounds like you have a bad cap or IC. Replace C2P05 100 ufd 16 volts, off Pin 3 of IC2P01. It is on the Signal Board. IC2P01 Part # 270P466020 (stand-up type mounted on heat sink). The Signal Board is the the board on the left hand side looking at the TV from the back. The parts are on the right side of the Signal Brd towards the middle and back. Replace it even if it checks good. Look at other Caps in the general area and if you see black stuff on the negitive leg of those caps(replace them also).

Good Luck, Big Irish.
