Waterway 5HP Executive 56 Frame Spa Pump PF502N22C Questions & Answers
Remove impeller from Waterway 502n22c
To remove the impeller you first take the front face plate off to expose the impeller. Then isolate the shaft from the motor with a pair of needle nose vise grips and using a pair of channel lock pliers grip the end of the impeller and rotate counter clockwise to un thread it from the shaft. If the shaft seal has been leaking there may be to much corrosion to turn the impeller in which case it needs to be broken off.
How do I replace a waterway executive 56 fuse
There is no fuse in the pump itself. Pump fuses are located in the control pak where the pump cord is attached. Turn off the power to the spa and remove the cover of the pak. There is usually a diagram of the board showing where the fuses are. Pump fuses are not clear they are about 1 1/4" long and have a label on them with the rating of the fuse. Usually 20 or 25 amps and either SC or AG rating
I have a 56 frame
I suspect the cooling fan has separated from the shaft or the vent holes are plugged. There is an internal thermal switch that opens when the motor gets too hot, then closes when it cools off, and the motor starts again. When the motor is running hold your hand under the vent holes on the bottom of the motor and you should feel a pretty good breeze, usually hot air coming out of the motor.
Need to change the seal on a PF-50-2N22C
Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
In general the process is the same for any brand...Disassemble the motor from the pump, lock the motor shaft at the end opposite the pump, spin off the impeller (which may be covered by what is called a diffuser), replace both halves of the seal (one is pressed into the pump housing and the other rides against or on the back of the impeller) and assemble in reverse order. If you need more specific directions, please add a comment with your question(s) or contact me using our web site at www.arrowpools.net.

Need to change out bearings
You will need a 7/16 inch open ended wrench, a bearing puller, a phillips screwriver, a 12" peice of metal electrical conduit, and the bearings.
dismantle wet end of pump down to the impeller. Remove the shaft cap at the back of the motor(small circular cap in back). use 7/16" wrench to hold the shaft under the cap whiile spinning the impeller counter clockwise untill impeller is off. using a 1/4" hex driver remove the 4 through bolt located at the rear of the motor. seperate end caps on motor housing to access the bearings. use puller to remove. use the 3/4" conduit to tap new bearing into place. Reassemble unit.
Make sure you have an o-ring kit for this pump first
