Its possible that a wire that goes to the "dynamo" (the small electric motor that runs wheels) got disconnected. If you have basic electronics knowledge, try to open up the toy and check the motor's terminals. If you are hesitant to do this, ask someone else with experience on electronics to do this for you. This would be an easy task for them.
