Won't turn on.

Hi, If when you turn on your TV all you get is a blinking green light, you can find a lot of posts about this problem.  It usually is caused by bad capacitors in the DM board.  If you are handy and not afraid of pulling the DM board desoldering old capacitors and resoldering in new capacitors, this could be done for around $20 - $30.  You can look up Mitsubishi blinking green light or follow this link which gives a good discription of the process.

Good day to you!!!

It has something to do with the jacks or the what you call 5 cables...
You will notice that each of the jacks/5 cables had a corresponding colors.
What you are going to do is to connect it properly with the tv and the speakers/in the dvd with each others assign colors when that jacks connected properly then see the image and sound if ok, if not try to wiggle the cable see what will happen because there is a possibility that the problem could be a worn out wires on the speakers look on it and rearrange the wires.

If you have more questions which I did not answer yet please let me know so that I can help you...
I hope your problem could be solve.
Thank you for using fixya!!

The convergence IC's were going bad. I have a

Convergence ICs should have nothing to do with audio.

I have a similar set (but not the same model) and replaced the convergence ICs without the problems that you are experiencing. Dis-assembly of the cabinet and interconnecting cables between PCBs to access the ICs were two of the biggest headaches for me. I used only a few simple tools and a soldering iron and solder wick (no meters, scopes, signal injectors, etc.).

Before beginning, unplug the TV and wait a couple of hours (over night is even better) to allow the stored charges to fully discharge. This will eliminate short circuits while working on the set - and may have been the reason for fuses blowing the first time.

Since you're going to have to go back in again, make sure that you applied the thermal grease between the convergence ICs & heat sink because if you did not, they will fail again - pretty quickly. Also, check for solder bridging of 2 or more pins and check for cold solder joints at the same time. Make sure that traces have not been lifted from the PCB and make necessary repairs if they were. These steps are basically to minimize the chance of failure of the convergence problem repair.

Make sure that you have reconnected all the PCB jumper plugs, RGB signal cables, flyback transformer leads, etc. My rear projector set required that more than just a few of these be disconnected for access. I spent a great deal of time looking around to make sure I found them all. I even had a friend look to see if he saw anything "hanging". Lastly, look for evidence of failed / burnt components, bulging / leaking capacitors, etc. Take appropriate action if found. Check fuses again and try a power up for testing.

Hopefully, you'll find the problem with the help from the above and get it going again. The only concern I have are the blown pico fuses. I assume it blew because you did not allow the set to sit unplugged before working on it. Since you've got the service manual, you might look at the circuit(s) powered by the fuse and check it/them for failed a component(s).

How do I fix the 2,2 error on the ws-55819?

install the convergence repair kit for your model. The 22 error is almost always caused by shorted Convergence ICs and blown picos. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com

I need mitsubishi parental control

First I walked the customer through some of the service menus but there was no reset for the V Chip there. I advised the customer to exit the service menu. I walked the customer through entering 9 and QV when the V Chip password was requested. The customer was then able to clear the old password and enter a new one. The problem was resolved and the customer was satisfied.

Screen went black. Shut t.v. off and tried to turn

MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ONFOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD "device" and "menu"buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protectthe Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergenceIC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES ANDTHEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOUHAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and twoblinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix. SD TECH

Hi, We've had our

Hello
Its power supply section is faulty. That is why you do not get the green light energized. There are 8 output voltages emerges from it, which goes to different circuit boards inside it. This is a very complicated ciruted board, and should be worked very carefully. You must have sound knoledge in switching type power supplys [SMPS] to go forward. You must be very causious with working with this section as the mains power supply comes to it and switched by an IC switching regulator. All parts of this chasis will be "Live" and dangerous to touch. Let it get repaired by an experienced service techinican of by the authorised service center. OK.

65 inch mitsubishi tv shows

A very common problem in this model.

This model uses two of the STK-392-570 convergence chips, a lot of these the chips get flaky, cut in and out when cold or hot.

What happens is both are mounted on a large metal heatsink with a white grease to transfer heat on the back of each chip (see photo of similar chip) and after some years the grease dries out and the chips start to go.

In every case with intermittent loss of convergence (looks three d) it is one of the chips. They are located on the middle board in the set and available as a pair (I can tell you where I buy mine) for under 20 dollars, you buy them local and expect to pay 50 dollars.

This can be a do it yourself repair if you can solder etc, I have start to finish, step by step instructions for this which also tell you everything you will need to do the repair.

Sooner or later one of the chips may short and set will then not come on at all.

Before you rate my solution here let me know if you have any questions and if you want the instructions we will find a way to send them to you.

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55819

It could just be the solder on the convergence ICs which needs to be reflowed. If that doesnt help then the ICs will need replacement. Your model uses 2 of the STK392-570 ICs. If you need further assistance please let me know.
Thanks

I am not sure what

You are suffering from a convergence problem. In this case I recommend you see a TV tech. To pull the convergence board is a real chore. Your convergence board will have too many bad grounds to even begin to count. You may not have to replace the convergence IC. The IC will be of a STK-393-110. In many cases this IC will be replaced by an after market part. You will have to check and replace resistors of a 2 watt value of about 3.9 ohms. In good faith, the TV man will replace this convergence IC ,as to try to correct the problem the first time. Good advice for the ,do it your selfer. Take this note to a TV tech. Some knowledge could save you a few bucks. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!
