Ws 55859 has audio but picture is black
This unit does not have a lamp, but 3 CRT's. Odds of all three tubes failing at once is very remote. I would look at the voltages that run to your CRT boards and see if they are low or have a load. You should also check your circuit boards on the bottom of set to see if the CRT's have been leaking glycol. If the board looks wet ot corroded, you are dead in the water.

The model listed has a self check: when you turn it on and green power light comes on and goes out in a few seconds, on the front of the set press and hold both the Menu and Input(input may be labeled Source) at the same time and hold for at least 5 seconds.Release both buttons and the power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat for a total of 5 times. If you have unplugged the set you will have to plug it back and turn set on, let it fail and then do the check--removing power clears all errors.Let me know what code you find.

Green blinking light
ONLY 1 of 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and issecured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard of theset---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you canunplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and differents so you cannot get them wrong)The idea here is to remove the front keyboard with its reset button etc fromthe circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with theremote---These sets have a Receiver that is called a DM board--(large metal box to theleft as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light willblink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up. Itis called the DM board. If disconnecting the keyboard allows the set to turn on--you have a bad resetswitch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or toremove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and removeand/or replace it.If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---thereceiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail inthat unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and notthe caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--ifyou need to know their name let me know---You can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.Let me know what more information you need--I am here to help.SD TECH

Green blinking light ws-55859 tv
The blinking light is what's known as the blink code. The blink code tells you what the problem is. To find out what it means, count the number of times the light flashes then Google your make and model with the words blink code added to the end. This will show you links to sites that will tell you what the problem is.

Blinking green light on a mitsubishi rear
This sounds like your convergence chips have gone out. If you open the back of The set you will see a big metal piece with fins on it on the front side the convergence chips are located. When these go they usually take out several fuses on the power board they must be repalced along with your convergence ICs get the letters and numbers off of the chips they will start with the letters STK you can order a set of them from suburban electronics for around $20 there will be soldering involved with this repair if you can solder this is a easy fix that will cost you less than $40

Push power button and timer
When it shuts down go to the set and press the menu and the Device/Input button both in together and hold for 6 seconds then count the two digit blink code from the power indicator. it will blink a two digit code which repeats several times.

Green light flashing on timer.
Thats a common problem if the sets left unplugged or without power the DM caps drain and then wont charge when the power is restored. Its a easy fix usually just replace the DM caps. You can get the Mitsunbishi repair kit called the WS55859 DM repair kit from
www.tvrepairworld.com which has the upgraded replacement caps and the CD with repair instructions.

The power supply is causing your issue and if your savy enough to do a little soldering and replaceing some bad capacitors this link to a PDF file explains the issue in depth. If you don't think you can handle the electrical work, then you will need a tech to take a look at the power supply for you. What is happening is the power supply is not getting up to power and therfore won't turn on or bring up any codes to follow.

I hope this helps with the issue your having.

My WD- 60735 mitsubishi tv
Count the number of flashes of the green light and make note if there is a sequence. Google WD-60735 blink codes. This will send you to a number of links to choose from. The blink code will tell you what is wrong with your tv.
