you can't, DVI is a digital video source and VGA is an analog video source. however there is a VGA to component RGBHV cable that you can use. the Mitsubishi TV is very limited to the resolutions the VGA output can be. only 1080I, 480P or 480I. It may be the reason they got rid of it but the set should have a hidden menu called Option which will allow a hard reset of the entire set and should cure the quirk the set seems to have==going to need and have the Mitsubishi remote and a four digit number code to do it.
