The WS is a picture tube type rear projection first produced as a 2003 model year set.A few questions and then a offer if needed.Did this happen suddenly or after a power loss?By reboot do you mean the recessed reset button on the front of the set?I will presume if you turn color off completely the screen is some other color than black and white?the offer: have you tried the Option menu this set has hidden, I can explain if needed.

No power. No lights.
I have the exact same problem.
TV was working fine (if you call having to deal with blinking lights of death and multiple starrt up errors...) - but I powered through it all.
This TV is 6 years old and started acting up after the 4-year extended warranty ran out.
This morning I went to turn it on and nothing.
Hmmm... Got my manual to count the blinking light code...
Whoops. No lights. Nothing. Checked plug. Checked power.
Uninstalled and installed lamp. Checked plug and power again.
Nothing.
Not one stinking light. No power to fan. Nothing.
How does a TV just DIE???

How to replace the dm in wd-52525
The DM is the second board inside the Chassis block directly underneath the FMT board. But replacement DM boards if still good are very expensive your better off replacing the 4 capacitors that fail on the DM.

Its more likely that the front and rear mirrors need to be cleaned. The mirrors tend t get dull and that will cause the picture to become dull and the colors wont appear as vibrant as normal.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on
the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device
and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
