WD 62725 Timer geen light keeps blinking

Here is how you fix the problem. Turn off the power to your TV for 10 seconds, then turn on. Next, take a paperclip and push in the reset button for 10 seconds, then release and wait until the light stops blinking - may take up to 5 minutes - be patient. Then turn on your TV as normal and your problem will be fixed.

Lamp Issue with Mitsubishi WD-62725

Hi I am Vortash it sounds as if the actual fault is in your ballast circuit this is the circuit that fires up the arc on the lamp and sends the signal to the main board that the lamp is running , if this is faulty no signal is received by the board and the lamp light comes on when this happens there is usually still sound but not always as sometimes the problem affects the power supply also .. this is a job for a trained engineer as voltages at the ballast are sometimes in excess of 25000 volts at first arc that then settles to a lower voltage to run ... regards Vortash

Cannot watch 780 or 1080 resolution video, but can watch 480

Hi

The typical cost to get this fixed by a pro is about $300 - and it doesn't mean that he/they will do a job better than you do. The parts are less than $100 (about $20-$30 for the IC's) if you want to do it yourself. Replacing only the IC's MAY solve the problem; however, many people have also had blown resistors requiring replacement. Why would you ask should you replace both of the IC's if only one is shot?! If one is shot the other one is not far away and for that little price of the chips it worth changing them both at the same time. Also the convergence board should be checked for cracked solder. If you replace the ICs and the resistors are shot, the ICs may blow again almost immediately, meaning you may have to do the repair twice. Pushing the TV back might have solved the problem for some time; I believe you should check for cold solder joints.

Please do accept the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Blinking green timer light

I purchased my WD 62725 in January of 2005 and have had way too many problems with something costing this much.  My green reset button is now blinking and I have read and tried all of the suggested solutions. All of them have failed.  I sure think Mitsubishi should be held more responsible than they seem to be.  Some one suggested a class action lawsuit.  I would sure join one.  Jack P

Picture bounce or flutter

In case there is a loose connection and the convergence board is not damaged. This is what I did and worked out "perfect".
My Mitsubishi HDTV Medallion 1080 has been with us for about 7 years.
The TV started showing distortioned colors and images and even when I used the convergence options from the main menu, it would not show clear images until it would be working for around an hour or if we would hit it until the image would fix. It got worst over the time at a point that it would require 2-3 hours working and several punches and kicks.
No doubt dust has done it's job, well, a vacum with a brush end can help resolve the problem.
1. Make sure the TV is off and disconnected from power.
2. Remove the rear cover at the back (it is clear wood colored and is at the lower part of the cabinet)
3. Using a vacum with a brush end, vacum all the dust that you will find. Be cautious not to hit the components and do not or apply preassure while doing the work
4. On the left side, you will see a card over a mother board, make sure to vacum it well and that it is well inserted in the slot (I did apply some preassure to make sure it was fully inserted)
It took me around 15 minutes and my tv is working like NEW.
While you are removing the dust with the vacum, you may want to vacum the 3 lenses as well, again, using the vacum, no need to clean them with a cloth. I saw a thick layer of dust over them and could remove it easily with the vacum.
Hope this will work for you.

New bulb/TV still shuts down

Its far more likely the result of the power pwb capacitors that have failed. As the 34 code will appear if the capacitors fail on the Power PWB. You can get the V26 DLP Power repair kit at the following link.with free instructions

My wd-73727 turns on, but nothing on the screen.

Each case is different. With you behind the set I would like someone there to turn the set on and you will listen for what will sound like an arcing sound, usually about three tries, then nothing. That will tell you that the inverter is working to ignite the lamp but the lamp says no. In that case you need to take the 6x6 cover off and remove the lamp and look at it. Some shatter and that's an obvious sign of lamp failure. If you do not hear the inverter then we can suspect the color wheel which is part of the Light Engine. Only will you see a light engines failure is when a polarizer goes bad and discolors your picture. Other than that you can't tell other than trouble shooting. So let's try the lamp way first.

Had a solid amber light indicating a new lamp was needed.

Press the menu amd device/input buttons both in together on the front of the set and hold them both in for 6 seconds to see if the timer light will blink a two digit blink code such as 3 blinks, slight pause then 4 blinks. If it blinks that code you will need the V26 Power pwb repair kit which is available at the following link under repair kits and has step by step instructions.
