I've noticed more and more dark spots on my tv screen. How do I get rid of these?
I have the same TV, and I was getting the black spots on my screen as well. It is dust settling on the bottom mirror. Yoiu can call Mitsubishi and spend 150-200 on getting it cleaned, or you can do like I did and take the front panel off and the 10 screws around the edge on the back of the black plastic border around the screen. Then lift up gently and have someone hold the screen for you and gently dust the bottom mirror. I did this by myself, but it would be wise to have 2 people do it.

i have a 62 inch mitsubishi dlp model#wd-62525 serial#125902 , tv will not power up it has a flashing green lite below the timer button that flashes,i have try the reset button but it just starts blinking green again.can you help me with this problem.
if the light just constantly blicks green and doesnt stop. You will need the" V26 DM repair kit " which will usually repair that issue. You can get the repair kit at the following link which includes the replacement capacitor and instructions

Thanks for your previous response. (Are you asking about the wd62525? If so that's a v26 chassis and equipped with a self diagnostic test by flashing a series of two digit sequence after depressing the power button. After depressing the power button count the number of flashes - then you'll see a slight pause - then another series of flashes. (for example: four flashes, pause and four more flashes is an error code 44). The unit repeats this coding at least three times so be as accurate as possible.)
I cannot turn the tv on at all? The flashing timer light is consistent with no pattern.
Thanks again...
Press and hold "Device" and "Menu" buttons for six seconds and see if you then get a patter of flashes pertaining to the error codes... I would suspect one of the following codes:
12 No Error Detected
22 Recovery From Momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover Open
33 Air Filter Cover Open
34 Lamp Abnormality
35 Chassis Fan Failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) Or Lamp Ballast Fan Failure
37 Engine (Dmd Or Lamp) Fan Failure
38 Excess Lamp Temperature
39 Excess Dmd Temperature
41 Short Detected
44 Dvi Cable (Between Chassis And Engine) Disconnected

My tv has been saying the lamp has reached its life for a couple weeks. It finally went dead and I replaced the lamp. The timer light keeps blinking and I can not turn the tv on. Any ideas? I was thinking it could be the ballast since the old bulb had shards of glass on the inside, I thought it might have spiked the lamp to go bad.
There is a tiny reset button to the left of the timer light. Press with a pin or something small, wait 60 seconds. Viola!

After a power outage the green light keeps blinking but the TV won't turn on. Tried the reset button but still won't come on. The manual states that the Timer is Locked. Does anyone know how to UNLOCK the Timer? The bulb was already replaced and still looks good. Any other suggestions?
Fluke solution: Press and hold Menu+Enter on front of TV...

I replaced the bulb because it went out and then the yellow blinking status light keeps blinking and wont stop. I tried resetting and unplugging the tv 3 times but it wont turn on.
Check that the lamp door is closed all the way. There is a saftey switch that closes from the door being on all the way. If not the status light will keep blinking. There is also a switch on the air filter door.

I replaced the lamp cartridge the first time after about 2 years. This time some 2 years later I opted to replace just the bulb. I had no trouble removing the old bulb, and installing the new one. I did have a bit of difficulty getting the lamp counter to reset but I got that taken care of as well. The new bulb, after about a week began to take longer and longer to energize. Recently the TV would not turn on at all with the lamp indicator showing red. I reinstalled the old bulb and the TV works fine. I talked with the bulb provider and according to them; the ballast is probably the culprit. I have sent the bulb back to them for testing. If I need a ballast (Internet $105) for my set are there instructions to remove and replace the ballast?
The ballast for the lamp too should be replaced along with the lamp. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?
I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:
