Something died in there - perhaps a capacitor or a solid state device just blowing and cracking into pieces. happens. Open up the set and see if you can spot it around the power supply area.

GREEN BLINKING LIGHT OF DEATH..........
You cannot tell what capacitors are bad just by looking at them. Some can fail without any outward signs. You need a special meter to test them.

Why tv keep going off ?
Hello, was it doing the same thing before you changed the lamp? If it was it may be just over heating, which can occur when the vent in the lamp clogs up or the fans are clogged up with dust. I don't think that one of the fans are bad, the set would shut down after just a few seconds. DO NOT use canned air or anything that blows into it to clean it, vacuum it out wit the aid of a small brush (1/2 inch paint brush) works well. You might try that and see if it stays on, if that doesn't help, you may have a bad lamp....be sure to use a genuine Mitsubishi or Osram lamp only!.....tks

Panasonic Pt-51hx42 has no picture. Red light blinks 1x every 5 sec. Started with colored bar across top of picture. Then top half of picture went black, then entire picture static, Now won't turn
Yes it can be fixed. Everything you are saying points to a problem with the digital video processing module and or associated power supplies that run it. Even though this is a "digital HDTV". It still makes it's picture using older analog methods (electron beam scanning on a CRT projects the image). Sometimes the digital video IC's would simply need to be resoldered. The big question is although it is repairable, is it cost effective. This is a 51" CRT projector. There are 50" flat panel tv's available now that can outperform it for $500-600 brand new. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s when I used to repair these full time, the repair would cost you around $350 including service charge to come to your house. Back then this tv cost around $1500+ so it was usually worth repairing, but that is not the case today. That is the rule, but There are a few exceptions (ie the guy who cuts a giant hole in his wall to recess the tv inside his wall for a "custom" installed look is forced to choose between repairing a 15yr old tv (your tv dates back around 2002 if memory is correct) and heavy construction)

Mitsubishi WD-62525 yellow blinking status light
Check that the lamp door is closed all the way. There is a saftey switch that closes from the door being on all the way. If not the status light will keep blinking. There is also a switch on the air filter door.

How do I change inputs on my mitsubishi projection tv
You need the original remote. there is 3 up/down buttons, one is volume, one is channel, the other is input. The input up/down will scroll through all the inputs. Some of these TV's don't have it on the front panel
