I looked up the manual online - after you replace the bulb, you need to reset the bulb life timer. Using the TV remote push the menu button, SETUP menu, select the lamp reminder option to reset the hours to zero. That might help the status indicators.

You need the original remote. there is 3 up/down buttons, one is volume, one is channel, the other is input. The input up/down will scroll through all the inputs. Some of these TV's don't have it on the front panel

check the power supply cable,if ok open and check fuse if blown, then test the power ic.if shorting then replace and test the tv on power again

Hello, you may want to check the lamp and see if it has gone bad, iether check your owners manual for the lamp replacement or go to you tube and there are video's to show you how to do this.....tks

Either live with it, buy a new set Or have the Optical Light engine that is causing the spots replaced.

Go back and make sure you do not have any loose or missing cables first.

Not sure if they can be swapped out....you may want to get the schematics or service manuals and check

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. Also, complete repair kits with instructions and repair support are avail from site such as www.TvRepairKits.com Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

It is telling you that the unit is overheating for a lack of air flowing over the globe. Check that the air slots are not blocked. the fan motor is working and any filters are clean and not blocked.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

it needs good air flow to keep it cooled, vac off all vents

I just had my caps replaced and after the tech put it back together there was a spot. He tok the screen off and cleaned the mirrors around the bulb and the large mirrors(they were reaaaalllllly dirty. It did brighten up the picture and it looks crisper, oh and the spot was gone.
P.S.. Like nettiser stated. If it's unde warrenty have them do it. If you drop something "you will be pissed" if you don't !
