you need to replace the toner cartridge if you open the front an take the cartridge out give it a shake to see how much is left in ..

can't receive.

Open front cover,then pull out toner and in the middle you will see a tiny fuse. Take it out and put a new one in. Put back toner,close everything and let it run.

both the numbers should be same otherwise the fax machine will not work properly ..............you have to ask the person who gave this machine for a change of number

If you have a receive error then they will have a transmit error on their end. so they wiuld already know.

No identification is not the problem. It sounds like you have it set to "manual receive" rather than "auto receive"

I have a feeling that it is a re-manufactured or compatible cartridge??
There is a fuse that needs to be replaced on this unit. it blows when the cartridge is installed to reset the machine. If the fuse has not been replaced or is defective the machine will not recognize the new unit.

Replace the toner cart. Toner save mode only uses a little less toner while printing.
