I bought a new AR675W
It is a relatively simple process to use the router as an access point. Follow these procedures:
1. Assuming the router is still at the default settings, connect the router to your computer using a patch cable from your computer to any of the lan ports on your new router, then enter 192.168.2.1 in your browser's url window and press enter (your computer must be setup to pick up ip addresses automatically). You might need to restart your computer.
2. enter admin for both user name and password in the router's logon window
3. click on network on the left and then select lan
4. enter a new unique ip address for the router that is the same as your local network (e.g. if your local ip is 192.168.100.105 then enter 192.168.100.200)
5. make sure the subnet is the same as your local network (e.g. 255.255.255.0)
6. disable DHCP on the router and click on Apply
Now connect the router to your network using a patch cable from your existing router to any of the lan ports on the new router. Connect your computer to the network. Thats it, you are done.
Open nat type
I take this is your type of network you have. NAT (Network Address Translation) only job is make all the IP's of you LAN to be able to use the one IP From the ISP. For example, you can have 3 Pc's connected to router (192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.3) with only one connection to ISP, and address like 67.123.43.200 (Address change upon ISP location).
In order to the game communicate between PC ans Internet have to configure Ports to connect to. Thanks to UPNP (Universall Plug and Play) this configuration is made automatically between the PC and the Router and simplifies those configurations.
Things to check:
The router have UPNP and is on.
There's a Firewall interfering with the game.
