Can i setup the belkin f7d4302 as a wireless bridge

belkin does not support this. The only way you can do it is by running a cable to the router to extend your wireless signal around the house. I did a similar setup with a powerline network adapter if running a cat5 cable is not a option. just make sure you change the main ip address for the 2nd router to like 192.168.2.2 and disable dhcp since the main router will handle dhcp. also make sure the wireless settings are the same and channel is different if 1st router is channel 1 then use channel 6 or 11 for the 2nd router.

I don,t have installation disk

Routers usually don't need installation disks unless you are using the USB port. Connect the yellow ethernet port your modem, and then one of the "Wired" ports to a computer. If it goes well you should be able to get it work. To setup the wireless, google search "F7D4302 setup wireless". The first link that comes up will let you download the manual.

If you don't have a PPoE password from your ISP, then just connect the ISP modem to the main port on the router. Then connect a PC with a network cable. This should work, if not try connecting the modem directly to the PC to test. If you get internet with just the modem, then try resetting the router.Wireless takes

What is the security key of a belkin wireless

Wireless routers can change the type of security key such as WEP, WPA and WPA2. WEP is the weakest type of encryption, and WPA2 is the strongest. To see what kind of key you are using, log into the routers ip address (Defualt gateway address in ipconfig command) then find the area for wireless security. The type of key and the key should be displayed.

I have a Belkin play N 600 Router, my newer

Your other computers must be connecting to the Belkin using WEP encryption if the Belkin does not support WPA encryption.
Therefore you need to configure the wireless card in the HP with the Belkin's WEP encryption key.

I have a NetGear router

Hi,

I got your issue, I hope you are trying to connect the 2nd router to the first router through LAN-LAN connection (i.e, LAN port of the first router is connected to the LAN port of the 2nd router)

Then you need to change the ipaddress of the 2nd Play Wireless router . Please follow these steps.

1. Connect the computer-router with ethernet cable and open up internet explorer and clear the address box and type in 192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

2. You will be logged into the Belkin router setup page, in the Left hand side under LAN setup click on LAN settings

3. It will ask for Login password, leave it blank and click on submit

4. Change the LAN ipaddress from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.5.1 and click ok

5. The page will say cannot be displayed, then clear the address box and type in http://192.168.5.1 and hit enter

6. If your first router is connected to the internet , then automatically the internet status will says connected

7. You will be able to go online wired

Good Luck!
Thanks in Advance!

Prema
