Whirlpool Duet WFW9400VE Front Load Washer Dryer Questions & Answers
My machine is not completing a wash cycle and its displaying codes like sud, f21
This means your machine is not draining properly. The problem could be a kinked hose, pump, sensor or control panel, but in my experience, it is usually related to socks. Unplug the machine. Remove the lower front panel (there should be three screws near the bottom). Check for kinked hoses which would prevent drainage. Be ready with towels or place a shallow pan under the washer to collect water. Unscrew the cap in the front and center of the machine. This is the large object filter, before the pump. Remove obstructions (e.g. a lost sock you've been curious about). The trapped items can be far back in there so you may need long pliers or tongs to grab things. If nothing is trapped, you (or a pro) will have to enter the diagnostic mode to determine where the issue is. The specific sequence of buttons you need to press for your machine would be in the professional or DIY repair manual, as are the description of the resulting diagnostics. Many of the parts of the system are easily replaced.
My whirlpool duet steam tumble fresh 4.4 stop
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

My whirlpool washer (model: WFW9400VE) - is not
you may have something stuck in your drain pump. could also be a problem with your drain line, make sure drain hose is not kinked and is not 96" above the floor. if our drain line is ok. then remove bottom panel of washing machine. the drain pump will now be visible. turn the tab on the drain pump, make sure you have some towels, because water will be coming out, stick your hand inside and see if there is anything stuck inside.as far as the sud error code, the drain pump is designed to remove just water and not suds. If you are not using he (high efficiency) detergent and following instructions for the desired amount. you will get that code. Also this machine should activate a sud cycle to remove excessive suds
Had F70 &F71 changed ccu and ui won't
Even after they replacing the CCU and the MCU, I still kept getting the three beeps and the F70 Error... the fix was replacing the front controller boards (where the knobs and buttons are). check your connections also, and that they are in the proper slot.
Can the doors on the washer and dryer be reversed?
You can reverse the dryer door, but not the washer.
For the smell, use a washer cleaner (like affersh) or run a cycle with bleach only , no clothes. If the washer has a clean washer cycle on it, utilize it. Also, leave the door cracked after a wash, and make sure you are not using too much soap and/or fabric softener
Water leak at the front door
It sounds like either some debris has gotten under one of the diaphragms of the water valve, or one of the diaphragms is hanging up. It is best to replace the water valve to avoid a possible flooding situation. I always recommend to my clients that they shut off the taps when they are finished for the day and release the pressure on the hoses by starting the machine on a warm fill for a couple of seconds. This will protect your home from a flood due to a burst hose while you are away.
Code F05 -E02
According to the manufacturer, the error means the door could not lock. Check the door for obstructions when you close. To remove error, reboot the washer.
