Yes! there is a fuse located inside the set on the main board, make sure your the set is unplugged before you remove the back cover, next follow the 12volt line cord to the main circuit board, there should be a small gma glass fuse right where the wire is. Check the polarity of the 12volt cord to make sure it will work.

Please try and use your AV input or play the DVD inthe combo to see if there is a perrfect picture.
If so the Tuner module is faulty and may need a replacement.
This can be confirmed if you can take a final voltage check to see if the tunerr receives the +12 necessary for the functioning . If not the regulator can be faulty.
The tuner must be replaced with the same type pin configutation , must be taklen out of the board witth good carre so as not to damage the PCB and resoldered.
make sure your cable input lines are good and there is no short in the splitters coming to your house in case your are using community cable.

A 5amp fuse should be ok in the 12v adapter if you are bying a new lead make certain you by the correct one as some leads have the center pin + and some have center pin - look on the set by the power input plug to find out the one you require, regards windyhouse

Besides checking to see if its has been muted witch is the obvious, I would strongly feel that this is the Amp inside the tv that has the issue. Things to check to see if its that amp are:

1.Try a tape
2.Hook up a dvd player and try that
3. some of these have headphone jacks try plugging in some headphones.

If you hear no sound in these circumstances then you have a amp that has blown. To fix a amp would be around $70 bucks for the part and labor? Well you see where its going and that is to the bank, most people would just have bought a new tv at this point.
